The most thrilling thing most people know about Jos is that it snowed there once upon a time. Still, the state isn’t known as the “Home of Peace and Tourism” for nothing, as it boasts and contains several worthwhile tourist attractions and locations that will entice both children and adults. There are a few items that should be packed for a trip to Jos to thoroughly enjoy the vacation. Because visiting any of these locations entails strenuous physical exertion, it is best to dress in light clothing. 1. Shere Hills

This is the first on my list and my Wife’s favorite must-see tourist destinations in Plateau State that will interest you, Climbers and hikers who want a challenge will appreciate a visit to this historic place, which boasts the highest and most rugged summit of all the mountains in Jos. It is around 10 kilometers east of Jos and serves as a camping spot for the Citizenship and Leadership Training Centre.

 (2) Wase Rocks

 The tourist attraction of Wase Town stands around 800 feet above sea level. hiking on wase rock is worthwhile because of the beautiful views and tranquility at the top.

(3) Riyom Rock Formation

This is a rock formation in Riyom, Plateau State The structure of this rock formation is rarely seen anywhere else in the globe, making it one of nature’s treasures. It is situated in the middle of Riyom Town, along the Jos Akwanga route, roughly 25 kilometers from Jos.

 (4) Kurra Falls

The history of this man-made waterfall, as well as its beauty, make it a must-see. The waterfall is the product of tin mining efforts in the area by local miners. Picnic sites are available at the park’s Vongnifwel Hills and Pine Forest, which are the highest points in Plateau at 1,345 meters above sea level.

9. Kurang Volcanic Mountain

 Kurang Volcanic Mountain is around 88 kilometers from Jos. ? Springs run through the mountain’s highlands. It provides pure spring water to the famed SWAN bottling company. Visitors and locals alike travel to the mountain to see how nature creates spring water.

(10) Naraguta Leather Works

This establishment may be found at Naraguta Village, Jos Plateau. Even though it was founded by a single guy, Naraguta Leather Works has grown into a major tourist attraction. This farm grows decorative veggies and herbal plants. At Helena Farm, the scent of roses fills the air, making it a delightful spot to visit with family or friends and also Buy Cucumber, Roses, Basil, Broccoli, Asparagus, and other Plants.

13. Nigerian Museum of Traditional Architecture

 This museum contains a collection of traditional architecture. It is also housed within the National Museum Complex. The structures are displays of traditional Nigerian architecture and art in and of themselves.

14. Jos Museum

In Nigeria, this was the country’s first museum. Bernard Fagg founded the company in 1952. This is also the location of the Nigerian Museum of Traditional Architecture. The Museum is located atop Coronation Hill, a tree coated in mountain granite that is one of the museum’s many noteworthy sights. Another worthwhile site that informs of the glories of prehistoric Nigeria.
